MakeMe Top Business Profile (MBP) is an online directory platform for verified travel agencies, resorts, and tourism businesses in Kashmir, India, accessible at makemetop.in. For privacy queries, contact us at support@makemetop.in.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account Information
When you sign up via Google or email, we collect your name, email address, and profile photo (if provided by Google). This is stored securely in Firebase Authentication and Firestore.
2.2 Business Listing Data
When you create a listing, we collect: business name, type, description, address, phone, WhatsApp number, website URL, and uploaded images. This information is publicly displayed once your listing is approved.
2.3 Payment Information
All payments on MBP are processed by Razorpay. When you pay, Razorpay processes your payment method details (card, UPI, net banking, or wallet). MBP receives only a payment confirmation containing: your Razorpay Payment ID, Order ID, amount paid, and plan purchased.
2.4 Reviews
Reviews you write are associated with your display name and user ID and are publicly visible on the relevant business listing.
2.5 Chat & Support Messages
Messages sent via live chat or the contact form are stored to provide support, accessible only to you and our admin team.
2.6 Analytics Data
We may collect anonymised usage data (page views, feature interactions) via Firebase Analytics to improve the platform. This data cannot identify individual users.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your MBP account
- To publish and manage your business listing
- To automatically activate your listing after Razorpay payment confirmation
- To allow tourists to contact your business via the platform
- To display customer reviews on your profile
- To send transactional emails — welcome, approval, payment receipt, and expiry reminders
- To automatically deactivate listings when subscriptions expire
- To improve platform performance and features
- To detect and prevent fraud and abuse
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. Data is shared only in these limited circumstances:
- Firebase / Google — Authentication, Firestore database, and hosting. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
- Razorpay — Payment processing. Razorpay receives your payment details. MBP receives only payment confirmation metadata. Governed by Razorpay's Privacy Policy.
- Google Apps Script — Sending transactional emails. No marketing use.
- Legal obligation — Disclosure if required by Indian law or a valid court order.
Approved business listing data (name, address, phone, type, services, images) is publicly visible and may be indexed by Google and other search engines.
5. Razorpay Payment Security
All payment transactions are processed by Razorpay Payment Solutions Pvt. Ltd., a PCI DSS Level 1 certified payment gateway regulated by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). MBP does not have access to your full card number, CVV, bank credentials, or UPI PIN at any point.
MBP uses HMAC-SHA256 cryptographic signature verification to validate every Razorpay webhook — ensuring no fraudulent payment activations are possible. For Razorpay's privacy practices visit razorpay.com/privacy.
6. Subscription & Auto-Expiry
MBP subscriptions do not auto-renew. When your subscription expires, our automated system deactivates your listing and sends a renewal reminder. No automatic charges occur. You must manually renew to restore your listing.
7. Data Retention
Account data is retained while your account is active. Business listings are retained while your subscription is active or until you request deletion. Payment records (Razorpay payment IDs, amounts) are retained for 7 years for tax and legal compliance under Indian law.
8. Your Rights
- Access — request a copy of your personal data
- Rectify — correct inaccurate information in your profile
- Delete — request deletion of your account and listings
- Object — opt out of marketing communications
- Portability — request your data in a portable format

9. Cookies & Local Storage
MBP uses browser local storage for user preferences — install prompt status, draft listing data, and offer countdown timers. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. Firebase and Google Analytics may set cookies governed by Google's policies.
10. Security
We use industry-standard security: Firebase Authentication, Firestore Security Rules, HMAC-SHA256 Razorpay webhook verification, HTTPS encryption, and replay attack prevention for payment events.
11. Children's Privacy
MBP is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. Contact us immediately if you believe a child has provided us personal information.
12. International Users
MBP is operated from India. If you access MBP from the USA, UK, UAE, Canada, Australia, Israel, or any other country, your data is processed in India under Indian data protection law (DPDP Act 2023 and IT Act 2000). By using MBP, you consent to this processing.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. The revised "Last updated" date above will reflect changes. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance.
